Adult Inpatient Medicine
The Family Medicine inpatient experience is consistently considered by residency graduates to be one of the major strengths of the program. With greater than 75% of Family Medicine physicians pursuing hospital privileges, we strive to provide outstanding clinical adult medicine inpatient rotations highlighted by the following:
- Unopposed service run entirely by FM residents and faculty.
- Provision of our own ICU care, including ventilator management.
- Daily teaching rounds and didactics.
- Resident management of code blue team.
- Exceptional and diverse specialist consultant physicians committed to resident education and autonomy in patient care.
- One-third of all unattached emergency room admissions go to the FM service.
- Continuity care for all our FM patients.
